The Kingston Hi-Strength anchor has been engineered to exceed Lloyds specifications for a high holding power (HHP) anchor. The dimensions are the same as those of the original lightweight anchors of Ogg and Danforth. The crown assembly, which is usually the weakest part of this type of anchor, is much stronger than any other anchor of this type as it contains patented stops that take the load in sheer. These stops also accurately control the angle the flukes can swing through. The shank is made of 100 thousand psi heat-treated steel. The flukes are made as a "T" section for strength and symmetry, and are also made of high tensile steel.
